Course Briefing

ETAP is a comprehensive power system analysis and design software for electrical engineers. This course will cover the fundamentals of ETAP including modeling techniques, load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash analysis. Participants will gain hands-on experience with ETAP through practical exercises and case studies. Upon completion, participants will be able to use ETAP to design, simulate, and analyze power systems with confidence.

Course Objectives

The main objectives of an ETAP course are to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Understand the principles of power system analysis and design using ETAP

  2. Model power systems in ETAP using different techniques

  3. Perform load flow analysis to determine system operating conditions

  4. Analyze short circuits and determine protective device coordination

  5. Conduct arc flash analysis and determine protective equipment requirements

  6. Use advanced features of ETAP for power system analysis and design

  7. Interpret and evaluate results of ETAP simulations

  8. Apply ETAP in practical scenarios and case studies

  9. Enhance their professional skills and advance their career in electrical engineering.
